Recent Hyatt Regency Crown Review: "This hotel is unlike any other I've stayed in. Rather than your typical 'Check-In Check-Out Free Continental Breakfast' hotel, this Hotel is a retail operation with hotel rooms available. What to expect; Parking- You'll have to park in the parking garage, costs roughly $14.50 per day. Not bad, & each floor has an elevator to quickly get you back to the lobby. The hotel room was nice with all ammenities of a normal hotel, minus a coffee pot. The mail lobby has a very nice breakfast restaurant rather than a free continental breakfast, as well as a coffee stand that serves Starbucks coffee. Any room you stay in will have a great view. I was lucky enough to have a direct window view of the Power & Light district & the Sprint Center. This area is extremely awesome in an 'Updated Vintage' way. There is a ton of things to do with plenty of venues always hosting concerts & events. If you're coming to town to go to the Uptown Theater or City Market, this is the best place to stay! I will stay here again & definately recommend this hotel to anyone from a group of friends going to a concert to a family get-away with young children. You will not be disappointed!"

A short guide to Downtown Kansas City

Kansas City is a great place for sports buffs. The Kansas City Chiefs play football at Arrowhead Stadium, the Kansas City Royals play baseball at Kauffman Stadium, and the Kansas City Brigade (arena football) play at Sprint Center. The Country Club Plaza is a popular shopping and entertainment complex. The National World War I Museum opened in late 2006 and is a great spot for history enthusiasts.
